A new half-day workshop from Green Pepper on Skills for New Managers proved to be a success. The event, held on 7 November at the CASE office in Leicester, had a full compliment of 9 new managers from a range of voluntary sector organisations.
The workshop looked at different approaches to managing people; and considered ways to build trust, motivate, and engage with staff and volunteers. It also looked at dealing with conflict, with the group working enthusiastically on how to approach three different conflict scenarios.
The feedback from participants was very warm, with comments such as
“Informative and interesting, covering a diversity of issues.”
“Well presented, good pace.”
“The lively conversation was interesting and thought provoking.”
“Very interesting and informative.”
