With many of us still working from home; and with the traditional training event very much shelved, Green Pepper is to run a range of low-cost, online workshops. Aimed at voluntary, community and social enterprise sector staff, volunteers and trustees, the workshops cover a range of topics, including risk assessment, data protection, safeguarding and leadership skills. The full list, together with dates and times, can be found on the Upcoming Events page.
This move into online training has been a while coming. Even when Zoom meetings became normal, I held back because of my own user-experience of the online event. Too many meetings or webinars were badly run, and plagued by poor sound, interruptions and poor engagement. But as we all became more used to the online world; and with home working remaining the default option, our collective experience of such events improved considerably.
So my first workshop – risk assessment step by step – is scheduled for 3 September. Unlike a webinar, it will be limited to a maximum of ten people in order to boost participation and engagement. Like all the workshops, it will last one-and-a-half hours. You can book your place now.
